BTCU Awards Educational Scholarships to Members

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., July 15, 2010 – Building Trades Credit Union today announced its 23 educational scholarship recipients.

BTCU awarded five $1,000 scholarships to the following members:

> Desirae Newman, New Brighton
> Erik Oslund, Cambridge
> Kaila Truesdell, Inver Grove Heights
> Aaron Woodward, Vadnais Heights

BTCU also awarded 18 $250 scholarships to the following members enrolled in a union apprentice training program:

To be eligible for a 2011 BTCU Educational Scholarship, each applicant must: 1) be a member in good standing at BTCU, and 2) have a high school diploma or G.E.D., and 3) complete and return the Scholarship Application by June 15, 2011.

A copy of a high school diploma, G.E.D., or current college transcript must be submitted along with the application. Completed applications may be dropped off at any BTCU branch or mailed to: Building Trades Credit Union, Attention: Scholarship Committee, 12080 73rd Avenue North, Maple Grove, MN 55369.
